Rajkot Cycle Club (RCC), is a very popular club where people from all walks of life, get together daily and cycle as a group various distances. RCC has been promoting the love for cycling in Rajkot since 2015.
The leaders of RCC for the year 2019-2020 are, Mr. Pratik Soneji and Mr. Bhavin Dedakiya.
RCC founder, Mr. Divyesh Aghera has been able to show people that cycling, not only promotes fitness but should be considered as the next step of commute between home and work. He himself keeps a cycle at his work place and completes his daily outside work chores on cycle. Looking at his contribution to promoting cycling, he has been awarded the title of Bicycle Mayor Of Rajkot by bycs.org of Amsterdam.
Rajkot Cycle Club (RCC) is the creator of Rajkot CycloFun and has been hosting it since 2017 with great success, including twice in 2019. Rajkot CycloFun, a very popular and one and only biggest public cycling event of the Saurashtra region. Rajkot CycloFun is supported by Rotary Club Of Rajkot Midtown (RCRM) and Rotary Midtown Library (RML). This event is also been supported by Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) and Rajkot Police for the organisation of roads and safety.
Rajkot CycloFun has been flagged off by the Respected Mayor, Police Commissioner, RMC Commissioner, and leading Business Persons of Rajkot with a cycling route of 50 kms in and around Rajkot. Medals have been gifted to the participants who has completed the event in the given timeframe. There also have been many Lucky Draw prizes distributed to participants. During this event many deserving girl students from Shr Laxmi Bai and other schools have been gifted sponsored cycles. Rajkot CycloFun has been featured in all of the print and radio media of Rajkot.
